CompetitivAG - Data Consulting, Data Governance and AI as a Strategic Partner
CompetitivAG helps companies in its industry compete better. To offer them data and AI capabilities without building an in-house team from scratch, it chose Neural Tech as its strategic data and AI partner.
We work under a Company as a Service (CaaS) model: we are the consulting and delivery team CompetitivAG brings to its clients. We design strategy, define data governance and policies, build integrations, migrate knowledge, develop custom data science projects and train teams to adopt automation on their own.
The Challenge: Bringing Data and AI to Many Clients, with Consistent Quality
CompetitivAG had to meet very different needs across its clients:
- Ungoverned data: information spread across silos, with no clear owners and no quality, security or access policies.
- Trapped knowledge: documents, processes and expertise scattered across legacy systems or in the heads of a few people.
- Disconnected systems: sources that didn't talk to each other, forcing teams to consolidate information by hand.
- Unanswered business questions: business data with strong predictive potential that no one was using.
- Adoption: teams that wanted to automate but didn't know where to start.
All of this came with one more goal: opening new emerging markets in Latin America.
Our Approach: A Strategic Partner, Not a Vendor
We don't deliver a project and walk away. We work as an extension of CompetitivAG's team, with a portfolio of capabilities we activate based on what each client needs.
1. Consulting, governance and advanced data policies
We design data governance models with roles, owners, quality, security and access policies, plus a data strategy aligned with business goals. This is the foundation that makes any analytics or AI initiative reliable and auditable.
2. Knowledge migration
We move organizations' knowledge (documents, processes and expertise) from legacy or scattered systems into modern, organized structures that are easy to search. Knowledge stops depending on a few people and becomes ready for AI to use.
3. Data integration
We build data integrations that connect business systems, ERPs and external sources into one reliable view, with automated pipelines that eliminate manual consolidation.
4. Custom data science and machine learning
We develop custom data science projects and explore advanced machine learning and data modeling techniques on enterprise databases: predictive models, segmentation and pattern detection that turn historical data into decisions.
5. Builders program with Microsoft 365
We created a Builders course with Microsoft 365 as a pilot for rolling out automation in companies. We train business users to spot repetitive processes and automate them with the tools they already have. That way, automation starts inside the company and doesn't always depend on an outside team.
Challenges
- Client diversity: each company arrives with a different level of data maturity, so the portfolio had to adapt without losing quality.
- Legacy data quality: inconsistent information required cleanup, standardization and quality rules before any analysis.
- Cultural change: data governance and automation only work if people adopt them.
- New markets: bringing these capabilities to emerging Latin American markets with different technology and regulatory realities.
Results
- A data and AI portfolio ready to take to clients: governance, integrations, knowledge migration, data science and automation under one partner.
- Data governance as the standard: clear policies and roles that make data reliable and auditable.
- Automation from the inside: the Builders program with Microsoft 365 trains people to automate their own processes.
- Regional growth: support in opening emerging markets in Latin America.
How do you implement data governance in a company?
Our work with CompetitivAG and its clients sums up our method:
- Start with the business: define which decisions data should improve before choosing tools.
- Assign owners and policies: every important dataset needs an owner and clear rules for quality, security and access.
- Connect and migrate in order: integrate systems and migrate knowledge with governance criteria from day one.
- Train people: data governance and AI only create value if teams know how to use them.
This is the same approach we apply in our Data for AI, AI Consulting and ROI, Corporate Brain and AI Enablement services, where we train the internal Builders who create and maintain their own automations.
